Partners across the Mid and South Essex system will soon have access to a significantly broader range of patient information from Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT), as the Trust prepares to share additional data with the Mid and South Essex Shared Care Record (MSE SCR) platform.
The enhancement marks a major step forward in strengthening integration and improving the quality and completeness of shared records across the ICS.
The expanded dataset will provide greater visibility of patient information from EPUT’s Mental Health services, in addition to EPUT’s Community datasets already shared. This means partner organisations will be able to access a greater, agreed set of clinical information through the Shared Care Record.
The increased contribution from EPUT will help teams across acute, primary care, community, mental health and social care settings, build a more complete picture of a patient’s history, needs and interactions with services. The sharing of additional data will strengthen clinical decision-making at the point of care and enhance support for patients with complex or multi‑agency needs.
Alongside the expanded data sharing, EPUT is also introducing an additional single sign-on (SSO) access route to the MSE SCR via the EPUT Care Portal.
This update is primarily relevant to EPUT colleagues, including Paris users who will gain access to the Shared Care Record for the first time. The new route does not change how partner organisations access the SCR but will support increased usage and data reliability from within EPUT.
Partners are encouraged to make their teams aware that more EPUT information will soon be available within the Shared Care Record. Please visit the Shared Care Record for more information including user guides and EPUT’s list of datasets that will be shared.
