Vision
Find Your Active shines a light on the different ways and opportunities to get moving around Essex, Southend and Thurrock. It celebrates the fact that physical activity is inclusive, fun and for everyone, and we can all enjoy the huge benefits of moving more – it’s just about finding what is right for you.
Aims & Objectives
The ‘Find Your Active’ behaviour change campaign has set the scene for Essex, Southend and Thurrock over the course of a year.
The new ‘Fit for the Future’ strategy builds on increasing physical activity levels for the positive health and wellbeing of residents, hardwiring physical activity into systems settings (Education, Heath, Social Care, Planning & Infrastructure, Community, Community Safety and workplace), working with partners in areas of deprivation and with inactive people.
The pandemic created an outpouring of active citizenship and neighbourliness and we have seen hundreds of organisations across Essex work so well towards a common purpose. It’s Fit for the Future’s mission to continue this.
