Residents are invited to join a virtual information event which will share plans about the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) being built at the St Michael’s Hospital site in Braintree.
Registration for the Wednesday 20 September event, which is taking place between 6pm and 7.30pm, is free and will give people the opportunity to hear about the project plans from staff at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
Braintree CDC is planned to open in summer 2024 and will offer a range of tests including CT scans, blood tests, ultrasound, MRI scans, and heart and lung tests to the local community.
Following the presentation there will be chance for residents to ask questions and speak to health and care representatives about the services the centre will offer. People can register online for the event here: bit.ly/btcdcevent
Qaiser Malik, Clinical Director and Consultant Radiologist at the Trust, said: “The CDC programme is part of a national initiative to provide better and faster access to diagnostic tests and therefore improve health outcomes, Braintree is one of three centres to receive funding in the wider mid and south Essex area.”
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is working together with Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System to lead the programme.
